And one day I was told it will be there
that one who understands will present herself
and she will present her heart for me to see
I’ll try to not let it slip away
fall or be damaged
it will fall on me to take in
protect it, hold it, appreciate it
smiling while i do
seemingly such an easy task, right
but no, if taken lightly
it may slip, it may fall
panic will ensue
then it happens upon me
I too have presented my heart
that panic is the fear of my own slipping
falling, breaking, damage
she too has the same obligation
that same fear, same panic
protecting mine, holding it, appreciating it
taking it in as well
smiling while she does
